Turkey Time

It's almost Thansgiving and we've been busy reading and learning in the Library. We've read some really great books, including My Big Dog by Janet Stevens and Hubert's Hair-Raising Adventure by Bill Peet.
In Kindergarten, we're learning about genres and the OPAC (the computer that keeps up with our Library books). In First Grade, we're learning about features in the front of the book (like the title page and table of contents) and we're also learning about genres. In Second Grade, we're learning about features in the back of the book (index and glossary), text features (headings, sub-headings, bold, italics, and graphics) and genre characteristics.
Hope everyone has a chance to enjoy some great turkey and great reading over the break.
